Born and raised in Japan, Keiko Hiramoto started her career in London in the mid 1990’s where she attended the renowned Greasepaint makeup school. Keiko’s talents were soon realized as she began working for top international magazines like Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, and Vogue in both Europe and East Asia. Keiko’s attention to beautiful skin tone and texture also landed her advertising jobs with Dior, Calvin Klein makeup, Kao and Avon.

In 2001 Keiko moved to New York ready to take her career to the next level. She has since enjoyed a high level of success, often assisting Revlon’s Gucci Westman. Keiko’s artistic philosophy starts with the basics.

“I am interested first in people’s features and their face frame. I love to enhance their natural beauty and to make their skin look beautiful. That is the most important thing when applying makeup – the skin.” Keiko also loves to mix colors to create something new.

Her inspirations come from the natural world, as well as films and iconic pictures.

Keiko’s favorite aspect of being a makeup artist is the collaboration. She relishes in working with photographers, hairstylists, and models to create beautiful images that inspire.
