Fulvia’s passion for making women look gorgeous has made her one of the world’s most sought after makeup artists. “I think I was given a gift,” Fulvia says. “I always knew I could make women look their best.” A firm believer in the collaborative process, her work is as vividly creative as it is flattering, versatile, and always flawless.
Shortly after Fulvia touched down in New York City, she was in studios with Irving Penn, Helmut Newton, and Dick Avedon. Work with legendary lensmen: Bruce Weber, Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchelier, Raymond Meier, Mario Testino, and Inez & Vinoodh are a few of the significant others who followed. Learning from equally gifted editors like Polly Allen Mellen, Paul Cavaco, Grace Coddington, Camilla Nickerson, Carine Roitfeld, and Edward Enninful has led Fulvia to a prolific career based on a stellar reputation.
Multitasker by nature, Fulvia has been the lead makeup artist on fashion runways for Tom Ford at Gucci, Marni, Balenciaga with Alber Ebaz, Betsey Johnson, Missoni, and Carolina Herrera. Fulvia also worked as creative director for Shisheido’s “S” line in Japan and Armani/Emporio Armani Makeup at L’Oreal laboratories in Paris. Current beauty clients include Chanel, Revlon, L’Oreal, Maybelline, Nars, and Cover Girl. Fulvia works as well with many high profile celebrities; among them Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Naomi Watts.
Originally trained in Milan, Fulvia is often called a woman ahead of the times and trends. She is currently the brand ambassador for Chanel Beaute US, a position she’s held for over 11 years. “Clients feel safe when they hire me,” Fulvia says, “it’s the greatest compliment I have received.”
